Common Council

The Common Council is the legislative and governing body of the City and consists of the Mayor and six councilors elected in the manner provided in Article II, Section 2.1 of the Oneida City Charter.  One Councilor is elected by the qualified electors of each of the six wards.  The Common Council exercises all power of legislation in relation to enacting, amending, or repealing local laws, ordinances, and resolutions.
