FOIL Requests
Submitting a FOIL Request
(Freedom of Information Law — Public Officers Law, Article 6)
Requests for records under the New York State Freedom of Information Law (FOIL) may be submitted by email or in writing. While the City of Oneida provides a FOIL Request Form for convenience, the use of this form is not required. Requests must reasonably describe the records sought and include the requester’s name, mailing or email address, and a clear description of the records being requested.
FOIL requests may be submitted by email to the Records Access Officer at slapera@oneidacityny.gov or by mail to:

All requests will be acknowledged within 5 business days of receipt. Please copy Deputy City Clerk, Monique Ludwig, on all requests in the event that the City Clerk (RAO) is out of the office. Her email is mludwig@oneidacityny.gov
