National Grid Road Work

The City has been notified that National Grid will be installing gas main replacements within the road right of way in several areas of the City.  They are upgrading low pressure  gas mains with medium pressure mains at the following locations:

• Belmont Ave (from  Seneca St to Florence Ave),
• Franklin Street (from Belmont Ave to Cleveland Ave),
• Vanderbilt Ave (from Main Street to Broad St),
• Broad Street (from Vanderbilt Ave to Lenox Ave),
• East Walnut Street (from Elizabeth Street to Stephens Street),
• Wilbur Street (from East Walnut Street to East Grove Street),
• Farrier Ave (from Main Street to South Warner Street),
• Grand Street (from Main Street to Phillips Street).

According to National Grid, the sections along Belmont Ave and Franklin Street have been recently completed.  The sections along Broad Street, Farrier Avenue and Vanderbilt Avenue will be completed by the end of May.  The section along Grand Street will be completed during June and the sections along East Walnut Street and Wilbur Street will be completed during July.  All surfaces will be restored upon completion of the project.
