City Alerts-Notices

Winter Storm Alert-

The City of Oneida is currently under a Winter Storm Warning, effective until 7:00am Wednesday, due to heavy lake-effect snow and strong winds in our area.

Forecasts indicate 1 to 2 feet in our area, with potential for more. Wind gusts up to 50 mph may lead to blowing and drifting snow, white out conditions, and reduced visibility making travel difficult.

I strongly urge residents to avoid any unnecessary travel. Please do not park on the side of the street to allow our DPW crews the space they need to safely clear the roads for everyone. *Overnight on street parking is prohibited and will be strictly enforced.* If you must travel do so with extreme caution, and prepare for the conditions outside.

City crews are actively monitoring the situation and will continue working throughout the storm to keep the roads passable and maintain public safety.

Please stay informed through official city and county updates. Your cooperation is critical in helping keep our community safe.

Stay safe, everyone.
Mayor Rick Rossi
