When the temperature is below freezing at 32 degrees, help for those needing to get out of the cold is a close as your local library.   All libraries in Madison County serve as warming sites during normal business hours on inclement weather days where homeless individuals/families can obtain cold-weather supplies and informational resources.

Code Blue Centers are open November 2025 through April 2026.  

Those who need assistance with emergency housing can contact Madison County Department of Social Services at 315-366-2211 for additional resources Monday through Friday 8-4pm.
